Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Infrastructure

About the Role
A major global cloud infrastructure provider is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the evaluation, design, and delivery of mission-critical data centre electrical systems. As part of the global Technical Infrastructure team, you’ll assess facility designs, drive program-level improvements, and ensure reliable and efficient power systems across a growing portfolio of sites.

This role combines deep technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration, allowing you to influence everything from site selection and concept design to commissioning and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical systems for new and existing data centre facilities, including single and multi-tenant environments
• Analyze redundancy, availability, and Single Points of Failure (SPOFs) in power infrastructure
• Manage electrical scope throughout design, procurement, delivery, and on-site implementation
• Lead resolution of program-level electrical system issues, working with internal teams and external partners
• Collaborate across disciplines (e.g., mechanical, structural, controls, security) to deliver fully integrated facility designs
• Support data centre acquisition strategy by performing technical due diligence and infrastructure assessments

What You Bring

• Extensive experience in electrical engineering within mission-critical environments such as data centres, hospitals, or large-scale industrial facilities
• Strong understanding of high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems, substations, switchgear, ATS/UPS systems, and associated control/monitoring platforms
• Proficient in evaluating electrical risks, performing fault analysis, and driving energy-efficient design improvements
• Skilled in coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and navigating complex stakeholder environments
• Familiar with the commissioning and operational handover of large-scale electrical systems
• Strong project leadership skills and the ability to manage technical programs across multiple locations
